Tasmania
Tasmania severe weather & warning links.
Find TasALERT and BOM warnings alongside weather and radar shortcuts for southern, northern and western Tasmania.
Official information first
This page is a directory, not a live warning feed. Open BOM to check the current warning area and issue time, and TasALERT for local information. Atmosphr does not issue or reproduce official emergency warnings here.
Check the right coast, town and elevation
Start with Hobart for the south and Launceston for the north. The time and location shown in each forecast matter when comparing a town forecast with conditions elsewhere on the island.
Devonport and Burnie offer separate north-coast views; Strahan is the western starting point. If you are moving between them, use the location search for the places on your itinerary.
A town forecast does not describe an exposed summit or every section of a walking track. Look up the destination’s official forecast and local access advice. Use TasALERT for emergency information and the tide guides to find official tide-table sources.
